ROXAS CITY – A woman was found dead in a bag under the bed of a hotel room on Plaridel Street in Roxas City on Monday.

Roxas police found the body of Loida Gonzales, 30, under the bed inside the room.

Gonzales and his living partner, Jerwin Telesforo, 30, checked into the bedroom on Sunday based on the logs of visitors to the nursing home.

At around 2 p.m., staff at the shelter heard the victim and Telesforo arguing. Telesforo left the room around 8 p.m.

Telesforo went to the Sapian police station. He confessed his crime to the authorities and how he committed it.

The autopsy report says the victim sustained bruises in her body, which could be due to Telesforo beating her to death.

Telesforo said jealousy had forced him to kill his partner alive after discovering the victim was allegedly having an affair with another man.

Telesforo, who faces a murder charge, is being held in Roxas City Prison. – Report by Jenel Baclay, ABS-CBN News
