Ganga water should be supplied to every house in Firozabad, Tundla: Yogi

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that instead of reverse osmosis (RO) water, water from Ganga will be supplied to every house in Firozabad and Tundla through the ‘Har Nal Ghar Yojana’.

Addressing a huge rally as part of his marathon polls campaign, Yogi said: ‘We are delivering clean drinking water to people who will lack even osmosis water. We will provide Ganga water to every household.

“We are also committed to protecting the interests of farmers. Of the Rs 36,000 crore loan from 86 lakh farmers in the state that our government waived in the last five years, 54,000 farmers were from Firozabad. In addition, 2,56,800 farmers receive Rs 6,000 per year under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme,” he said. During the Samajwadi Party’s tenure, only 18,000 people received houses under this scheme.

Praising the Union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for fighting the Covid pandemic, Yogi said the government of Uttar Pradesh has done its best to save every person’s life and livelihood during the pandemic. The Chief Minister further said that 100% of the state’s population had taken the Covid vaccine despite the misinformation campaign launched by opposition parties. Furthermore, the UP government has done its best to save the lives and livelihoods of every worker, native or migrant during the pandemic,” he said.

Yogi pointed out that his government pays annual pension of Rs 12,000 to 57,154 elderly people, 14,415 disabled people and 38,873 to widows in Firozabad; the same pension that had been abolished by the previous Samajwadi Party government.

“Opposition parties have been looting shopkeepers, collecting goonda tax and extorting innocent residents, but under the dual engine government they are safe. Kanwar Yatra is peacefully cleared as bulldozers drive around and continue to raze properties mafia illegalities,” he noted.

The Chief Minister further said that the BJP will score a landslide victory in the ongoing Assembly elections due to the work it has done for the people without any bias. Taunting the SP, Yogi said that when they were in power they withdrew the charges against the terrorists, while when the BJP took over the illegal slaughterhouses were shut down and forfeited farmers’ loans. “This is the first time that farmers have benefited in a literal sense and it worries the uncle and the nephew,” he remarked.
