AEW star files trademark for his nickname

Serena Deeb filed a trademark application for the term “The Professor of Professional Wrestling” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on February 15.

It was trademarked by Michael E. Dockins for entertainment and apparel purposes. Here is the description of the file:

“Entertainment in the form of wrestling competitions; entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and a sportscaster; entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; entertainment services, namely, television appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing online professional wrestling and sports entertainment interviews in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes. »

She made her AEW debut on the September 2, 2020 episode of Dynamite where she lost to NWA Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa in her first match since 2017.

Prior to signing with AEW, Deeb worked for WWE when she joined the company in 2017 to become a coach at the Performance Center. She also participated in the Mae Young Classic tournament that year. She left WWE in early 2020 due to budget cuts related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
